I watched this movie for my Old Testament Course and it is excellent, with a few minor quibbles. This is a professionally-made film, it is well put together that is full of good actors. The vast majority of the historical facts in the Bible are hammered down in this movie. There are some minor parts that (I'm assuming) they made guesses as to stuff that we don't know from Abraham and his life. I would say that this is one of the few films that is long AND compelling. You'll walk away with a much greater appreciation of Abraham and you'll want to go back to the Old Testament to read it for yourself. I would recommend this for a group (or your family) to see after or before a Bible study into Abraham and his life.

Our family couldn't even watch the entire movie as it was so made up of assumptions of Abrahams life...we got through half way and turned it off. We don't recommend it. And it had some stuff that wouldn't be good for smaller children to watch.
